Social Page Evaluator – A new application to identify the current and potential value of your Facebook page
Posted by Maggie Meleszczuk | Friday, May 14th, 2010

I’ve just found a really cool Facebook App to help evaluate the current and potential value of any given Facebook page that is not restricted.

It’s called the ‘Social Page Evaluator’ App and there is currently a beta version available. The App was released by Vitrue a social media management company providing technology solutions to help brands harness the vast marketing potential of social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.

The App that only took its developers 63 hrs to build and it’s a helpful first step to attach a real monetary value to your Facebook page. In the first instance, this will help marketers to understand how much a FB page is worth and how big its unexploited potential value is.

“Marketers are clamoring for data to determine ROI,” observed Vitrue CEO Reggie Bradford.

The evaluation is examined on the basis of a number of different factors. Amongst others the number of fans and their interaction and the post frequency are taken into account. (more…)

Eyeforpharma Post 2.0
Posted by Andy Stafford | Thursday, March 25th, 2010

It’s a month since Eyeforpharma and two weeks since I uploaded a survey for participant feedback- and the results are in. I can’t claim that 100% of attendees answered the survey because I would be lying, but a large enough number to warrant some thought and discussion did. Thank you so much to those sharers!

I’ll run through the percentages with a little commentary. If you’re not interested in being teased with a ‘slow reveal’ though just click down to the bottom of the posting for a table of the results.

100% did you enjoy Eyeforpharma (#efp) 2010!

Wir sind wieder zurück von der EyeforPharma 2010, „the 5th Annual eMarketing Europe“ Messe in Berlin
Posted by Maggie Meleszczuk | Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

(more…)

We are back from EyeforPharma 2010, the 5th Annual eMarketing Europe event in Berlin

We are back from EyeforPharma 2010, the 5th Annual eMarketing Europe event in Berlin
Following our preparations that were long and sometimes exhausting, we finally arrived at the EyeforPharma 5th annual eMarketing Europe conference in Berlin on the 2nd March 2010 with our XXL pop up stand (thank you Kezia for your effort in designing this giant).

EyeforPharma Berlin 2010

The two day conference was a raging success, not only for the speakers, but also for us as exhibitors. We got the chance to talk to many interesting & inspiring people from the healthcare industry. We met ‘old’ friends and peers with whom we exchanged ideas and thoughts on the complexity of digital marketing solutions for the pharma industry and heard a lot of really interesting speeches. I sometimes felt like I was attending a lecture, but in a good way ;) .

I really enjoyed all of the speeches but in particular two speakers, Meredith Abreu Ressi, VP research at Manhattan Research and Jens Monsees, Industry Head at Google who provided us with interesting first-hand ‘Health 2.0’ facts and statistics. (more…)

Direct to Consumer Advertising – The pharma pitfalls
Posted by Lawrence Jackson | Friday, March 5th, 2010

Ok, so we’ve come to accept that digital media is going to play a dominant role in the future of pharma marketing activities (now being dubbed pharma3.0). As I mentioned in my last post there are some trailblazers who are championing the use of highly interactive channels such as the iphone or Nintendo wii. Now the worry is that pharma execs will note the potential gains of pursuing marketing activities through digital and social media but that it will just remain a pipe dream. The fear of becoming entrenched in a complex web of legislation and or (in extreme circumstances) punishment in the form of civil and criminal sanctions is just too difficult to stomach. (more…)

5 no no’s on Social Networks
Posted by Danny Denhard | Thursday, February 25th, 2010

Here are my Danny D’s top 5 no no’s on Social Networks -

1. Be yourself – Don’t try and be the ultra cool slick person you are not, people see through it as easily on social networks as they do in real life.

2. Do not force your opinions and views on anyone – Whether it is Facebook Groups, I love this link spam emails to all of your friends or “you must do this its cool”. If you try and force your opinions on friends/followers/buzzers you will only alienate yourself from gaining new social connections or friends.

3. Interact with people. Do not be a snob – By interacting with people you make connections, by going onto an open social network and updating your status’, you will entice people to comment, interact with them, do not be a snob, talk to them, even if don’t like what they say, interact that’s what social networks are about.

4. Don’t disagree with people for the fun of it – I personally dislike people who just disagree with me for no reason and do not back up what they say, try not to disagree with people for no reason, it will grate most people and ultimately you will lose followers or friends.

5. If you do not like someone, don’t be their friend or follow them, why waste your time in online disagreements – Why continue following or being someone’s friend if you dislike what they say and how they say it? Just unfollow or de-friend (unfriend if that works better) them don’t argue and create a mini soap opera online, it can be entertaining but in the long run it is not cool.

Digital Marketing, an overview of its relevance to business today.
Posted by Lawrence Jackson | Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

Hi!

Being the new guy at Nitro Digital means I’ve got a lot of catching up to do and when it comes to Digital Media I’m a bit of a novice. Given that I’m the Commercial Manager, it’s probably wise for me to polish up on the basics before I can help any of you guys out with solutions that are right for your business. If you’re no early adopter then we can learn together, on the other hand if you’re the chief Editor of Mashable or some kind of digital media guru then feel free to point out any misgivings. Follow me here.

I hope you enjoy my entries!
